Job summary

Talenza in Sydney, Australia is seeking a Security Architect to lead design and evolution of its security architecture across cloud, hybrid, and on‑prem environments. This strategic role partners with technology and business stakeholders to embed security into the full technology lifecycle, with a strong Azure/Microsoft focus.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Security Architect or senior security engineer, ideally in regulated environments.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Azure and Microsoft security technologies (Entra ID, Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, Purview, Intune).
• Experience designing Zero Trust, IAM, cloud security, network security and data protection architectures.
• Solid understanding of security frameworks and standards (NIST CSF, ISO 27001, APRA CPS 234).
• Experience conducting threat modelling, security design reviews and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain enterprise security architecture across cloud, hybrid and on-premise environments.
• Lead security architecture initiatives across Azure, Microsoft 365, identity and data protection.
• Provide architecture governance, security design reviews and trusted advisory support for projects and teams.
• Drive improvements across security frameworks, policies, standards and regulatory compliance.
