Job summary

Talenza in Sydney, Australia is seeking a Security Architect to lead design and evolution of its security architecture across cloud, hybrid, and on‑prem environments. This strategic role partners with technology and business stakeholders to embed security into the full technology lifecycle, with a strong Azure/Microsoft focus.

• Proven experience as a Security Architect or senior security engineer, ideally in regulated environments.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Azure and Microsoft security technologies (Entra ID, Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, Purview, Intune).
• Experience designing Zero Trust, IAM, cloud security, network security and data protection architectures.
• Solid understanding of security frameworks and standards (NIST CSF, ISO 27001, APRA CPS 234).
• Experience conducting threat modelling, security design reviews and risk assessments.

About the Role

We're partnering with a highly respected Australian organisation seeking a Security Architect to lead the design and evolution of its security architecture capability.

This is a strategic architecture position responsible for embedding security across cloud, hybrid and on-premise environments. You'll work across infrastructure, identity, applications and data, partnering with technology and business stakeholders to ensure security is built into every stage of the technology lifecycle.

The environment is heavily invested in the Microsoft ecosystem, making this an excellent opportunity for someone with strong Azure and Microsoft security expertise who enjoys balancing architecture, governance, risk and stakeholder engagement.

Experience Required
