Job summary

Wesley Mission Queensland Limited is seeking a Senior Advisor - Risk and Internal Audit to strengthen governance, risk management, assurance and internal controls across the organisation. You will lead the internal audit program, maintain the enterprise risk management framework and work with senior leaders to build a proactive risk culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in business-related field or equivalent
• Professional qualification with a recognised body (CAANZ / CIA GradCertIA or similar) required/advantageous
• Demonstrated experience in internal audit and operational risk frameworks
• Ability to extract, analyse and report data to support decision making
• Strong communication, networking and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to lead a small team and manage priorities
• Proficiency with PowerBI and Microsoft 365 applications

Responsibilities

• Lead WMQ’s internal audit program to strengthen governance and controls
• Advance enterprise risk management and assurance across the organisation
• Conduct enterprise-wide risk assessments and assurance reviews
• Provide expert advice on risk management, governance and due diligence
• Support business continuity, crisis management and incident response
• Prepare high-quality risk and audit reporting for executives and board committees
• Mentor and develop team capability and drive continuous improvement
