Job summary

Wesley Mission Queensland Limited invites a Senior Advisor - Risk and Internal Audit to strengthen governance, risk management, assurance and internal controls across the organisation. You will lead the internal audit program and oversee enterprise risk management, risk assessments and assurance reviews.

You will partner with senior leaders, drive a proactive risk culture and support business continuity and incident management to enhance resilience and decision-making across WMQ.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in business-related field; professional qualification required.
• Experience in internal audit with knowledge of operational risk frameworks, risk appetite, controls, treatments and assurance practices.
• Advanced data extraction, analysis and reporting to inform evidence-based decision making.
• Strong communication, networking and influencing skills with stakeholders.
• Leadership abilities and team mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Lead internal audit program to strengthen governance, controls and performance.
• Maintain and enhance enterprise risk management framework and reporting.
• Lead enterprise-wide risk assessments and assurance reviews.
• Provide expert advice on risk, governance, compliance and controls.
• Mentor and develop team capability.

Education

Bachelor Degree in business-related field (Commerce/Economics/Finance)

CAANZ / CIA / GradCertIA or equivalent
