Job summary

Netwealth is seeking a Risk & Compliance Business Partner to join our Line 2 Risk & Compliance team in Melbourne. You’ll partner with Customer Operations leaders to provide compliant and risk-aware guidance across Superannuation Administration, Investment Operations and Managed Accounts.

You’ll build trusted relationships, challenge controls where needed and contribute to the uplift of risk and compliance across the broader organization in a fast-growing FinTech environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Risk & Compliance within financial services.
• Experience in Line 2 Risk & Compliance or ready to transition.
• Experience using risk management systems.
• Expertise in incident and breach management and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to provide independent challenge and build stakeholder trust.
• Understanding of risk & compliance frameworks in complex organisations.
• Experience with superannuation administration, back-office investment operations or platform operations.

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted Line 2 Risk & Compliance Business Partner supporting Customer Operations across a broad range of operational risk and compliance matters.
• Partner with leaders to identify, assess and manage incidents, breaches and remediation activities and compliance obligations.
• Prepare and present risk and compliance reports, dashboards and insights to senior stakeholders.
• Lead and support risk assessments, execute control design and operating effectiveness testing including identifying opportunities to strengthen controls and improve compliance outcomes.
• Provide independent advice, oversight and constructive challenge to support sound risk management and regulatory compliance.
• Support the preparation of management, Committee and Board reporting, including the analysis and presentation of key risk and compliance insights.
• Identify opportunities to improve governance, controls and compliance practices, supporting the ongoing uplift of the Risk & Compliance function.
