Job summary

Reserve Bank of Australia is seeking a Risk Advisor (Line 1 Risk) in Sydney, NSW, on a 12-month contract. You will provide risk expertise to identify and assess risks, advise on controls, test key controls, and support action plans to keep risks within appetite.

You will oversee incident reporting and drive risk management analytics. Role requires 5+ years in Line 1/Line 2 risk and compliance, with experience designing risk frameworks and uplifting operational resilience in APRA-regulated

Qualifications

5+ years in Line 1/Line 2 risk and compliance role.
Experience in design, build and implementation of risk frameworks.
Experience uplifting operational resilience in an APRA-regulated org.
Tertiary qualifications in economics, finance, risk, compliance or related discipline.
Negotiation and resolution management skills.

Responsibilities

Provide risk expertise to the business in identification and assessment of risks to support business objectives.
Advise the business to develop adequate controls to mitigate material risk exposures.
Provide SME support to risk/control owners to test key controls.
Support development of action plans to return risk within appetite/target residual risk.
Oversee incident reporting processes and help leaders understand and control risk.
Provide ongoing analytical reviews of risk management practices.
Assist in identification, logging and management of issues in RMS to quality standards.
Oversee updates to Business Continuity and Business Impact Analysis; coordinate BC exercises.
