Job summary

The University of Sydney invites applications for a full-time Faculty Research Infrastructure Officer in the Faculty of Medicine and Health. This fixed-term role provides administrative and technical support to researchers, helping develop, maintain and optimise research infrastructure across FMH and SBA programs.

Responsibilities

• Identify core research equipment infrastructure for FMH, including technological priorities for shared use.
• Collate information to establish inventory of FMH equipment with purchase, commissioning, operation, repair and decommissioning details.
• Support implementation of change programs and strategic reviews for equipment and space utilization.
• Coordinate and support FMH researchers participating in the SBA program, including planning and resource allocation.
• Complete data collection for auditing/cataloguing assets and hazardous materials if required.
• Apply technical knowledge for equipment operations and maintenance.
• Work with research support teams to prepare submissions and applications to secure funding for research infrastructure.
