Job summary

The University of Sydney, Faculty of Medicine and Health, invites applications for a Full-time, fixed-term Faculty Research Infrastructure Officer. The role provides administrative and technical support to researchers, enabling planning, maintenance and utilisation of FMH research infrastructure.

You will assist with grant applications and post-award management, guiding strategic reviews and asset management.

Qualifications

Experience in research-intensive environments or research facilities.
Strong administrative and communications skills.
Ability to travel within multiple sites.
Proven project management experience.
Experience with development of protocols and manuals per regulatory standards.
Ability to interpret and implement policy and procedures.
Excellent time and workload management; prioritise and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

Identify core research equipment infrastructure for the Faculty of Medicine and Health.
Establish technological priorities for shared use of equipment.
Collate information to establish an inventory of FMH level equipment with purchase.
Manage commissioning, operation, repair and decommissioning details.
Support implementation of change programs and strategic reviews to improve utilisation.
Cooperate with SBA program researchers on planning and data collection for asset/audit submissions.
