Job summary

Ahpra in Melbourne is seeking an experienced Senior Research and Evaluation Officer to join the REIT within the Health Workforce Directorate. You will lead the design, delivery and reporting of priority NMBA evaluation projects, working with the Nursing and Midwifery Policy Team to generate high-quality evidence for regulatory decision-making.

You will design and deliver mixed-methods evaluations, analyse data, and communicate findings through reports, presentations and publications, while

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in health, public health, social science, evaluation, public policy or related field.
• Experience leading research and evaluation projects from design to delivery.
• Strong qualitative and quantitative skills with statistical packages (SPSS, Stata, R).
• Excellent written and verbal communication for diverse audiences.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and project management skills.
• Collaborative approach and sound judgement to deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Experience with nursing/midwifery workforce and data visualization would be highly regarded but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver three priority NMBA evaluation projects from design through to reporting.
• Apply qualitative and quantitative research methods to collect, analyse and interpret data
• Generate evidence and insights to support regulatory policy and decision-making
• Communicate findings through reports, presentations, publications and other knowledge translation activities
• Partner with stakeholders to deliver high-quality project outputs
• Manage project timelines, risks and deliverables to ensure successful delivery
