Job summary

NSW Health seeks a Principal Policy Officer, Strategic Projects to lead the Evidence and Evaluation Unit within the Centre for Epidemiology and Evidence. This one-year parental leave cover role focuses on complex research and evaluation projects addressing strategic priorities.

You will oversee policy analysis, health economic evaluation, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to inform decisions and programs.

Qualifications

• Experience leading design and delivery of high-priority research, monitoring and evaluation projects.
• Experience with quantitative and qualitative analysis using administrative data for monitoring and evaluation.
• Understanding of health services and evaluation in this setting.
• Demonstrated leadership, stakeholder management and health policy research, monitoring and evaluation including economic evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team in the Evidence and Evaluation Unit of the Centre for Epidemiology and Evidence.
• Provide leadership and specialist advice on analysis, monitoring and evaluation of high-priority programs and policies.
• Chair expert working groups and oversee research grant funding programs.
