Job summary

Griffith University is seeking a dynamic Research Support Officer to advance research excellence across the School of Education and Professional Studies and the Griffith Institute for Educational Research (GIER). You will work with leaders to foster a vibrant research culture, build capacity, and enhance visibility and impact of high‑quality research.

The role involves coordinating groups and strategic projects, supporting grant development, and delivering governance and planning insights.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualification and/or substantial experience in research development, management or higher education administration.
• Ability to lead research development initiatives and coordinate capacity-building programs.
• Experience supporting grant development and collaboration with external partners.
• Strong written and verbal communication for strategy, reporting and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead research development initiatives by coordinating groups, capacity-building programs and strategic projects across the School and GIER.
• Provide expert research support and advice to senior leaders and committees on priorities, governance and initiatives.
• Drive research funding success through grant development coordination and collaborative partnerships.
• Enhance visibility and impact of research through communication, engagement and knowledge translation activities.
• Deliver governance and planning support with data analysis, reporting and decision-making processes.
