Job summary

Westpac is undertaking a major transformation and seeks a Release Management Readiness Lead to join the leadership team. You will sit at the centre of the Unite programme, providing end-to-end oversight across all Release Trains and guiding critical decisions that impact millions of customers.

Working with senior leaders and executives, you will embed governance, readiness and reporting to support successful programme delivery and governance forums.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering large-scale technology transformation, migration, or divestment programmes.
• Strong release management and enterprise planning expertise in complex organisations.
• Ability to manage cross-functional dependencies and coordinate multiple workstreams.
• Strategic thinking with delivery-focused execution and executive partnership.

Responsibilities

• Providing enterprise-wide oversight across all Release Trains, ensuring integrated planning and delivery alignment.
• Establishing release governance, reporting and readiness practices for successful migrations.
• Overseeing major release events including planning, readiness assessments, and post-mortem reviews.
• Delivering executive-level insights and reporting to support informed decision-making.
• Building relationships with Business, Technology and Transformation stakeholders to drive outcomes.
