Job summary

Talenza is seeking an experienced Head of Release Management to lead release planning, readiness and execution across a large-scale enterprise transformation within financial services. This role provides end-to-end oversight across multiple Release Trains (RTEs) and ensures teams, technology, business operations and stakeholders are aligned for major releases and migration events.

• Proven experience leading release management across large-scale technology transformations in banking.
• Experience coordinating multiple Release Trains (RTEs) in complex enterprise environments.
• Ability to manage dependencies, governance and executive stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall release management and readiness function across multiple Release Trains and workstreams.
• Provide an integrated view of release planning, dependencies, risks and readiness across the programme.
• Lead and coordinate RTEs to ensure consistent release planning, governance and execution.
• Establish and embed enterprise release governance, reporting and readiness frameworks.
• Oversee major release events, including planning, readiness assessments, implementation, hypercare and lessons learned.
• Provide executive-level reporting, insights and recommendations to support key release decisions.
• Drive alignment across Business, Technology and Transformation teams and proactively manage cross-functional dependencies.
• Partner closely with senior executives and programme leadership to ensure successful release and migration outcomes.

About You

• Proven experience leading release management / release readiness across large-scale technology transformation programmes within banking
• Strong experience working across multiple Release Trains / RTEs in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong programme integration, dependency management and enterprise planning capability.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex releases, migrations or technology transformations.
• Comfortable operating strategically while remaining close to delivery and execution.
• Strong executive presence and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Highly organised, pragmatic and resilient, with the ability to navigate ambiguity, competing priorities and high-pressure delivery environments.
