Job summary

Alstom in Sydney is seeking a Proposals Manager on a 12-month max-term contract to own the bid lifecycle for the ANZ region. You will craft and coordinate compelling proposals, lead cross-functional teams, and build a reusable content library to accelerate wins.

The role requires strong bid management experience, excellent communication, and a deep understanding of public and private sector procurement. Based in North Sydney, the position offers a dynamic path within a global leader in transport

Qualifications

• Degree in Business, Engineering or related field.
• Extensive bid management, proposal writing experience with a track record of landing complex bids.
• Deep expertise in public and private sector procurement processes.
• Exceptional communication and influencing skills to engage senior leaders.
• Analytical mindset with data-driven content and attention to detail.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Strategic thinker with a passion for winning and delivering value.
• Experience collaborating across teams and coaching others.

Responsibilities

• Shape bold, strategic bid messaging that distinguishes Alstom in competitive markets.
• Coordinate full bid lifecycle from kickoff to reviews, delivering polished, compliant proposals on time.
• Rally cross-functional teams to create content aligned with client needs and high standards.
• Build and maintain a robust bids library with reusable content and templates.
• Coach contributors and influence senior stakeholders on winning strategies.
• Drive smarter bidding through feedback, win/loss analysis, and lessons learned.
