TasPorts in Hobart/Launceston seeks a Specialist - Projects, Development & Business Cases to shape Tasmania's port infrastructure and strategic initiatives. You will develop project briefs, feasibility studies and evidence-based business cases for investment decisions, collaborating with finance, operations and stakeholders.

The role is full-time and based in Hobart or Launceston with intrastate travel and occasional out-of-hours work.

Qualifications

• Experience developing business cases and investment evaluation within a medium to large organisation.
• Exceptional written communication, synthesising technical, financial and operational information.
• Understanding of project lifecycles and capital investment decision-making.

Responsabilités

• Develop and refine project concepts with sponsors and stakeholders.
• Prepare executive-level project briefs, problem statements, objectives, scope and success measures.
• Create evidence-based business cases analysing alignment, risks, costs and benefits.
• Facilitate options analysis with technical, operational and financial experts.
• Support financial modelling and investment evaluation against key criteria (NPV, IRR, payback).
• Coordinate environmental, regulatory and stakeholder inputs.
• Prepare executive reports and recommendations for CIC review.
• Monitor project development pipeline and identify risks and opportunities.
