Job summary

Prizm Engineering is seeking a capable Project Manager to lead and coordinate projects across the full lifecycle, from concept studies through procurement, construction, commissioning and handover. You will work closely with our engineering team, clients, contractors and suppliers to deliver safe, on-time, and on-budget outcomes.

Based in Brisbane with occasional site travel, this role requires strong planning, risk management and communication skills, and a commitment to quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Plan, manage and deliver assigned projects in accordance with agreed scope, budget, programme, quality and safety requirements.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering inputs, project stakeholders, contractors and suppliers to achieve practical project outcomes.
• Identify project risks, missing information, stakeholder issues, commercial constraints and delivery impacts early, and escalate where required.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation including schedules, action registers, meeting minutes, procurement documents, reports and close-out records.
• Manage project communications with clients, contractors, suppliers, consultants and internal team members in a professional and timely manner.
• Lead project meetings, site inspections, design reviews, construction coordination activities and commissioning or handover discussions as required.
• Monitor project costs, progress, deliverables and changes to ensure expectations are clearly understood and managed.
• Support commercial decisionmaking, including scope clarification, variation management, procurement recommendations and project forecasting.
• Maintain clear records, revision control and traceability of project decisions.
• Contribute to the continual improvement of Prizm's project management systems, templates, workflows and delivery processes.
• Approximately 5-15 years of project management experience.
• Qualification in Project Management or a related discipline.
• Experience managing projects within government infrastructure, heavy industry, industrial facilities, water, wastewater, energy, resources, manufacturing or related sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects across multiple stages, from concept and approvals through to design, procurement, construction, commissioning and close-out.
• Strong Microsoft Office capability, including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Strong Microsoft Project capability or experience with comparable project scheduling tools.
• Construction White Card, or ability to obtain one.
• Ability to obtain client-specific site inductions and willingness to attend project sites as required.
