Job summary

Sandvik is seeking a Production Planner to coordinate workshop production schedules, manage WIP, control backlog, source parts and ensure maintenance, repair, overhaul and rebuild projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time.

You will work with Workshop Supervisors, Technicians, Procurement, Stores and Customers, using ERP/CMMS or workshop management systems, with experience in heavy vehicles, mining, earthmoving or manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Experience in production planning, maintenance planning, workshop coordination, or scheduling.
• Strong understanding of workshop operations, WIP management, and resource planning.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage workshop production schedules and resource plans.
• Monitor and control Work-in-Progress (WIP) to ensure on-time delivery.
• Manage workshop backlog and prioritise work based on customer and operational requirements.
• Source and procure parts, materials, and external services to support production activities.
• Coordinate with suppliers to manage lead times and expedite critical parts.
• Provide regular progress updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Track labour utilisation, job milestones, and workshop performance.
• Identify bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prepare job variations, quotations, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) as required.
