Amazon Australia is seeking a Procurement Category Manager in Sydney to create and implement regional category strategies across multiple indirect spend areas, driving value and reducing risk.
You will lead end-to-end procurement processes, collaborate with internal partners and suppliers, negotiate effectively, and use data analytics to identify market trends and deliver financial benefits for the business.

You will create and implement sourcing strategies for multiple categories, collaborate with internal business partners and suppliers to drive efficiencies that reduce risks and costs for Amazon. You will develop mechanisms and metrics to hold suppliers accountable for performance and delivery, and, you will drive results through methods that include competitive bidding, negotiating, and analyzing data to identify market trends for your categories.
This role will require strong leadership skills and interaction/influence with teams across Amazon to drive the improvement of procurement function. The ideal candidate will be curious, have strong attention to detail, be energized by a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment, be comfortable thinking big while also diving deep, will have high level emotional intelligence and comfort managing senior stakeholders. Your goal is to develop and deliver innovative processes to create financial benefits through procurement. You will be a thought leader on procurement management, possess superior communication skills and thrive when building relationships with customers and suppliers.
