Job summary

BGIS Pricing Analyst role in Melbourne or Sydney CBD seeks a commercially aware professional to develop pricing for hard and soft services, engage subcontractors, and support bids. Strong Excel, market benchmarking, and clear pricing rationales are essential.

The position is full-time, permanent with a hybrid pattern (3 days in office, 2 days WFH) across Melbourne and Sydney capabilities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business, Finance or related discipline.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and attention to detail.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel with pricing model experience.
• Two or more years' experience in pricing, estimating, or a similar commercial role.
• Experience in facilities management, property, construction, or service contracts.
• Excellent communication when explaining financial data to non-financial colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate cost models and pricing for new bids and re-tenders across hard and soft services.
• Prepare pricing for Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive Maintenance (RM) activities.
• Build financial models that reflect risk profile, service delivery models, and contract terms.
• Engage with subcontractors to obtain pricing, and use cost models to benchmark and compare.
• Translate complex tender documents into clear pricing deliverables.
• Liaise with internal delivery teams to validate cost inputs.
• Prepare pricing schedules, commercial responses, and supporting tender documentation.
• Analyse historical data and benchmarking to inform bid pricing.
• Provide clear justification for pricing assumptions during internal reviews.
• Support bid managers with commercial clarifications and post-submission negotiations.
• Prepare cost breakdowns and present pricing rationale in internal meetings.
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of bid and pricing capability across the business.
