Job summary

Enemix is seeking a Principal Power Systems Engineer to lead the Planning Function for a global energy assurance leader in Australia. You will drive complex network planning and power system modelling, delivering high-quality analyses for the NEM and related markets.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, mentoring engineers, and shaping methodologies, with external-facing duties to customers and industry stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in power systems or network planning.
• Engineering degree or equivalent required.
• Strong modelling and analytical capabilities in power systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex network planning and power system analysis engagements end to end.
• Drive modelling and analytical approach for transmission planning.
• Act as the authoritative voice on methodology and outcomes.
• Represent the business externally with customers, partners and stakeholders.
• Mentor and coordinate engineers across the team.
• Review scopes of work and ensure robust effort estimates.
• Evaluate new tools and technologies to lift analytical capability.
• Contribute to strategic technical direction of the department.
