Job summary

Enemix is seeking a Principal Power Systems Engineer to lead the planning function for a global energy assurance leader. You will head complex network planning, modelling and market advisory for the NEM, acting as the technical authority across customer engagements and internal teams.

You will influence technical direction, mentor engineers and shape strategic opportunities, delivering high-quality analyses and robust project estimates while collaborating with account teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in power systems or network planning.
• Strong knowledge of transmission planning, power system modelling and market/regulatory advisory in the NEM.
• Able to act as a technical reference point on complex, high-value engagements.
• Proven experience managing projects and project teams.
• Sound commercial judgement and ability to defend recommendations.
• Credibility as a subject matter expert in network planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex network planning and power system analysis engagements end to end.
• Drive modelling and analytical approach for transmission and planning work; set methodology and outcomes.
• Represent the business externally as a senior technical authority with clients and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with account managers and segment leads to shape opportunities.
• Provide technical direction, mentoring and coordination to engineers across the team.
• Review scopes of work and internal methodologies; ensure robust estimates.
• Champion new tools, models and technologies to lift analytics capability.
• Contribute to strategic technical direction and identify capability needs.
