Job summary

Enemix is seeking a Principal Power Systems Engineer to lead the Planning function for its global energy assurance practice in Australia. You will direct complex power system modelling, transmission planning and market advisory engagements with senior engineers and clients.

You will act as the technical authority, mentor engineers, shape methodologies, and help win strategic opportunities. This role suits a senior expert who wants influence without people management and a visible external-facing

Qualifications

• 10+ years in power systems or network planning with an engineering degree.
• Strong knowledge of transmission planning, modelling and NEM regulatory advisory.
• Ability to act as the technical reference point on high-value engagements.
• Strong written and verbal communication to translate technical detail for commercial audiences.
• Proven experience managing projects and project teams.
• Sound commercial judgement and the ability to defend recommendations.
• Credibility as a subject matter expert in network planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex network planning and power system analysis engagements end to end.
• Drive modelling and analytical approach for transmission planning work.
• Represent the business externally as a senior technical authority.
• Collaborate with account managers to shape strategic opportunities.
• Provide technical direction, mentoring and coordination to engineers.
• Review scopes of work and ensure robust, defendable estimates.
• Evaluate new tools and technologies to lift analytical capability.
• Contribute to the strategic technical direction of the department.
