Job summary

Commonwealth Bank seeks an Associate Director for the Active Portfolio Management (APM) team within Institutional Banking & Markets in Sydney. You will lead cross-functional transactions, optimise the loan portfolio and coordinate with insurers, brokers and investors to distribute risk and maximise value.

You'll work across a broad range of industries, client types and deal structures while developing specialist expertise in credit insurance, risk distribution and portfolio optimisation.

Qualifications

• Experience in Institutional Banking or related transaction-led roles.
• Strong execution skills from origination to completion.
• Ability to influence stakeholders across diverse teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of loan sales, risk participations, and credit insurance transactions.
• Manage end-to-end transactions from structuring and due diligence to execution and ongoing management.
• Collaborate with Coverage, Credit Risk, Legal, Finance, Operations and Syndications teams to deliver optimal outcomes.
• Coordinate external stakeholders including insurers, brokers, investors and banking counterparties.
• Support portfolio risk distribution across structures and markets; review and negotiate documentation.
