Job summary

Mini Masterminds is seeking an experienced Portfolio Director to provide strategic leadership across our portfolio of early learning centres in New South Wales. You will elevate educational quality, drive occupancy growth, and strengthen financial performance while upholding child safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in Early Childhood Education and Care with at least one year in the qualification.
• Minimum three years of leadership experience in ECEC.
• Current Working with Children Check, First Aid, Anaphylaxis and CPR certifications.
• Approved child protection qualification and current child safety training.
• Strong knowledge of NQF, National Law & Regulations and education standards.
• Experience leading multiple services and developing teams.
• Strong commercial acumen including occupancy growth and budgeting.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire Centre Directors and leadership teams to build accountability and continuous improvement.
• Champion high-quality, play-based learning aligned with NQF and NQS standards.
• Embed a robust child-safety culture and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Oversee day-to-day performance across multiple centres and optimise staffing and operations.
• Grow occupancy and enrolments through effective tours and waitlist management.
• Monitor budgets, wage costs and expenditure to improve efficiency.
• Foster positive family partnerships and data-driven service improvements.
• Drive portfolio-wide change and capability development.
