Job summary

National Australia Bank is seeking a Consultant, Planning & Enablement to support strategic planning, portfolio performance and business execution across the Consumer Cards portfolio. You will partner with Product, Risk, Finance, Analytics and more to turn strategy into action, shaping plans and monitoring performance.

You’ll develop insights, coordinate reviews, and prepare governance materials for executives and the board, ensuring delivery and value realization in a fast-changing environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in product management, portfolio management, banking, financial services, payments or related discipline
• Strong commercial acumen and understanding of portfolio economics and performance drivers
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven decision-making

Responsibilities

• Support development of annual business plans, strategic roadmaps and growth strategies for the Consumer Cards portfolio
• Coordinate strategic reviews and quarterly business reviews
• Support prioritisation across product, customer, regulatory and technology investments
• Develop performance narratives, analyses and recommendations for exec and leadership forums
• Translate objectives into actionable portfolio plans and initiatives
• Monitor portfolio performance and identify risks, opportunities and improvements
• Establish performance management frameworks for visibility and accountability
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities
• Prepare executive, leadership and board reporting and governance materials
• Track delivery against plans and transformation commitments
• Coordinate cross-functional action plans and stakeholder activities
• Analyse competitor activity and market trends to identify growth opportunities
• Support governance for strong portfolio oversight and transparency
