Wingecarribee Shire Council is seeking a Coordinator Strategic Planning and Policy to lead a team responsible for statutory planning policy, planning proposals, heritage planning program and local infrastructure contributions functions. You’ll shape how the Shire grows while protecting its character and heritage.

You’ll oversee planning controls updates to the Local Environmental Plan and Development Control Plan, heritage and contributions programs, and prepare strategic advice and policy

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a senior strategic planning/ planning policy role leading a team
• Experience preparing complex reports and policy responses
• Experience managing strategic planning projects and statutory processes
• Extensive knowledge of LEPs and DCPs and heritage planning
• Strong written and verbal communication with stakeholders

Responsabilités

• Lead a team responsible for statutory planning policy, planning proposals, heritage planning and developer contributions functions
• Oversee ongoing review and improvement of planning controls and policy framework, including LEP and DCP updates
• Provide technical leadership and deliver sound, evidence-based planning outcomes across Council and government
