Job summary

Department of Transport and Planning in Melbourne is seeking a Senior Planning professional to lead complex planning projects, provide expert planning advice and coordinate infrastructure and community planning. You will manage risks and budgets while engaging with government agencies, councils, developers and communities.

The role also involves preparing strategic reports, improving planning processes and mentoring staff to achieve high-quality planning outcomes in a dynamic public sector

Qualifications

• Degree level qualification in urban and regional planning, urban design, architecture or similar.
• Applicants must be Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa necessary for the nature of the position.
• Pre-employment screening and reference checks will be required.
• Recipients of Victorian Public Service (VPS) voluntary departure packages should note that re-employment restrictions apply.
