City of Melton is seeking a Senior Strategic Planner to join our City Strategy team. You will lead strategic land use planning, interpret planning schemes, formulate policy, manage projects and engage the community to shape Melton's growth.

The role reports to the Coordinator Strategic Planning and requires a tertiary Town Planning qualification with substantial relevant experience and a Victorian Driver’s Licence.

Competenze

• Tertiary qualification in Town Planning or related discipline and several years of experience.
• Experience in strategic planning projects and policy development.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and delivering outputs.
• Proven ability to conduct community consultation on planning projects.

Mansioni

• Project manage and co-ordinate the review, monitoring and development of existing and new precinct structure plans, local policies and other strategic projects.
• Coordinate planning scheme amendments to the Melton Planning Scheme.
• Lead cross-departmental project working groups and provide strategic input.
• Undertake community consultation for planning projects to ensure community input.
• Provide high level advice on the Victoria Planning Provisions and planning reforms.
