Job summary

Government client (agency undisclosed) is seeking a strategic planning professional to lead major land use and planning policy projects and contribute to the development contributions framework.

You will review contributions plans, manage calculations and invoices, and conduct strategic planning research to provide timely advice to stakeholders within a close-knit team.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Town Planning, Urban and Regional Planning, Geography, Accounting, Business, Law or related discipline.
• Experience in strategic land use/planning policy projects.
• Ability to review contributions plans and provide timely planning advice.

Job description

Reporting to the Manager Strategic Outcomes, you will play a pivotal role in delivering major strategic land use and planning policy projects, with a particular focus on Council’s development contributions framework.

Key responsibilities

• You will be responsible for reviewing contributions plans, managing calculations and invoices, undertaking strategic planning research and analysis, and providing timely planning advice to key stakeholders.
• Review and assist with the implementation of Council’s Section 7.11 and 7.12 Development Contributions Plans.
• Manage and contribute to major strategic land use and planning policy projects.
• Undertake research, analysis and review of strategic planning frameworks and infrastructure needs.
