Job summary

Newcastle Anglican is seeking an experienced Strategic People & Culture Business Partner to provide high‑level workforce and organisational advice to the Executive and senior leaders across the business group.

You will shape workforce strategy, support service design and program transitions, and ensure people approaches align with funding, regulatory requirements and organisational priorities on a full-time 6‑month max-term contract.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business or related discipline.
• Significant experience in a senior HR role or strategic equivalent.
• Proven organisational, administrative and time management skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Demonstrated capacity to work flexibly and manage multiple activities.
• Strong experience in Business Partnering with Senior Leaders and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Executive and senior leaders to shape workforce strategies aligned to service delivery models and organisational direction.
• Provide proactive, evidence-based insights to inform decision-making.
• Lead development of workforce models that are sustainable, compliant and aligned to contracts.
• Guide leaders on complex workforce scenarios balancing operational, financial and employee considerations.
• Coordinate engagement with unions and manage industrial matters.
• Lead strategic people-related projects and change initiatives end-to-end.
• Collaborate with People Experience and People Services to implement workforce strategies.
