Job summary

Qualifications

• Significant experience in partnerships, stakeholder engagement, or external relations in higher education or research.
• Strong understanding of Australian higher education policy and funding landscape.
• Proven success in building strategic partnerships and influencing senior stakeholders.
• Experience attracting organisations to participate in initiatives or networks.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Strategic judgement and commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and delivery of the Technician Commitment Australia partnerships and external engagement strategy.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with senior leaders across universities, research organisations, government, funders, industry, and professional bodies.
• Secure and support new and existing signatories and partners; develop engagement approaches.
• Identify opportunities to influence policy, funding and sector priorities.
• Provide strategic advice and high-quality engagement materials to support programme development.
• Represent the Technician Commitment at national forums and stakeholder meetings.
