Job summary

The Toowoomba Regional Council is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead the delivery of major OT network and cybersecurity uplift projects that protect essential water and wastewater services across the region.

This role sits at the intersection of project management, critical infrastructure, cybersecurity and technology, delivering projects with direct impact on public services and community safety.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering significant technology, infrastructure or cybersecurity projects.
• Strong project governance, reporting and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience managing procurement, vendors and contracts.
• Knowledge of PMBOK, PRINCE2 or Agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of complex technology, infrastructure or cybersecurity projects.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, risks, procurement activities and reporting.
• Coordinate technical specialists, contractors and external vendors.
• Drive stakeholder engagement, governance and change management activities.
• Manage procurement processes, contract administration and supplier performance.
• Provide clear reporting to project sponsors and senior leaders.
• Ensure projects deliver agreed outcomes, benefits and operational readiness.
