Job summary

NSW Greyhound Breeders, Owners & Trainers Association in Gosford and Maitland seeks an Assistant Operations Manager (Temporary) to oversee racing operations, venue administration and financial management. Qualifications

• 5 years experience in senior management or business administration
• Experience with sporting events management
• Experience in managing community partnerships
• Experience dealing with local government/councils
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and finances
• Strong negotiation and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate racing operations for weekly meetings at Maitland and Gosford
• Coordinate trial sessions to maximise staff and resource efficiency
• Market and promote greyhound racing to local communities
• Maintain tracks, equipment, buildings and surrounds to ensure safe, clean facilities
• Prepare monthly operations reports in liaison with venue managers and executive team
• Ensure WHS guidelines are followed by staff, patrons and contractors
• Develop and implement venue strategic plans for growth and long-term success
• Manage on-site staff and contractors across Gosford and Maitland venues
