Job summary

Susquehanna International Group in Sydney seeks a Senior Analyst, Operational Risk & Controls to lead development and execution of our Operational Risk Management Framework for the Australian business.

You will identify, assess and monitor risks, evaluate control effectiveness and support practical risk solutions in a fast-paced trading environment, partnering with business stakeholders and senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years' experience in operational risk, risk and controls, compliance, internal audit or a related discipline within financial services.
• Experience in market making, proprietary trading, algorithmic trading or another capital markets environment is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of operational risk frameworks, including RCSAs, control testing and issue management.
• Excellent analytical, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs) with business stakeholders.
• Perform control testing and walkthroughs to assess control design and effectiveness.
• Monitor operational incidents, risk issues, audit findings and remediation activities.
• Conduct targeted risk assessments to identify control gaps and emerging risks.
• Support third-party risk management and business continuity activities.
• Maintain risk and control documentation, including risk and control matrices.
• Prepare risk reports, dashboards and Key Risk Indicator (KRI) reporting for senior stakeholders.
• Analyse risk trends and support the ongoing enhancement of the Operational Risk Management Framework.
• Ensure compliance with internal risk policies and governance standards.
