• Contribute to the development and improvement of training materials and procedures.
• Gather, summarise, maintain, and report mission support information accurately.
• Participate in customer and stakeholder meetings as required.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across mission planning and operational support functions

The Opportunity

Eligibility: Applicants must be Australian citizens and be eligible to obtain and maintain an active Australian Government Defence security clearance at the level required for the position.

Develops new and/or integrates existing system simulation frameworks, performance models and algorithms, threat models and command and control models. Develops software that simulates behavior of users and systems. Develops, integrates and uses graphical user interfaces and visualization tools. Models operational environments, performs trade studies via computer simulation and provides decision support for alternative architectures. Performs operational analysis and mission effectiveness analysis. May build and design training models.

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically capable Senior Strategic Mission Planner to support F-35 operations under the authority of the Chief Mission Support. This role is critical to the delivery of mission planning capability, ensuring operational readiness through the development, coordination, and support of mission planning activities and systems.

Essential Experience & Skills

• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline from a recognised institution and/or equivalent relevant industry experience.
• Experience within the defence industry or a related operational environment.

• Ability to work within structured operational and security frameworks.

Desirable

• Experience supporting mission planning systems or military aviation operations.
• Relevant certifications or professional memberships.
• Knowledge of F-35 mission systems and operational support environments.
• Experience developing technical training or support documentation.
