Join AIR6500 and lead the delivery of complex Defence capability where systems integration, stakeholder leadership and delivery excellence matter.

We are seeking an experienced Program Delivery Manager to play a key leadership role within AIR6500, delivering complex, large-scale Defence systems integration capability.

This is a senior delivery role for an accomplished Program Manager, Senior Project Manager or experienced delivery leader with a proven track record delivering complex hardware and software platforms across major Defence programs. You will bring the experience, judgement and delivery maturity to operate effectively across technical, commercial and operational environments.

Key Responsibilities:

You will lead the delivery of complex Defence capability across systems integration, combat systems and Joint Air Battle Management, providing clear direction across multidisciplinary delivery, engineering, procurement and program teams to achieve integrated and operational outcomes.

Lead the delivery of complex hardware, software and systems integration programs, maintaining a clear focus on capability outcomes, schedule and performance.

Set delivery priorities and manage dependencies, risks, issues and competing demands to maintain momentum and achieve program objectives.

Lead and align multidisciplinary delivery, engineering, procurement and technical teams around common outcomes and accountabilities.

Work closely with engineering, technical and support teams to resolve complex issues and ensure the effective integration of capability.

Manage relationships across Defence, industry, customers, suppliers and senior stakeholders.

Influence and negotiate across organisational and functional boundaries to resolve issues, align priorities and drive timely decisions.

Provide delivery assurance, performance reporting and governance, giving senior leadership confidence in delivery performance, risks and outcomes.

Apply Agile and contemporary delivery practices pragmatically to improve delivery effectiveness, responsiveness and transparency.

What will set you apart:

You are a proven Defence delivery leader who is comfortable operating in complex, high-pressure environments and taking ownership for outcomes. You bring the judgement, resilience and leadership capability to translate complexity and ambiguity into clear direction, coordinated action and measurable results.

What will differentiate you:

Significant experience leading the delivery of large-scale Defence systems integration programs and complex, mission-critical capabilities.

Deep experience across combat systems, Joint Air Battle Management or similarly complex Defence environments.

A strong understanding of systems integration and the interdependencies across technology, hardware, software, engineering and operational capability.

A track record of taking integrated Defence capability from concept through to operational delivery, including the successful integration of multiple hardware, software and engineering disciplines.

Proven leadership of largeteams through high-pressure and complex delivery environments.

The ability to turn complex or ambiguous problems into clear strategies, executable plans and measurable outcomes.

A proven ability to influence without authority and build trusted relationships across Defence and industry.

The resilience, judgement and adaptability to navigate ambiguity, competing priorities and challenging delivery environments while maintaining focus on the mission and desired outcomes.

A reputation for taking ownership, creating clarity, building alignment and delivering results in complex environments.

When Applying:

Please provide a current CV and one page cover letter outlining your suitability for the role. Your response should demonstrate relevant experience and provide specific examples of how you have successfully led the delivery of complex Defence capability, systems integration or similarly mission-critical programs.
