Job summary

Ausenco is seeking a Senior Procurement Officer to join the growing team in South Brisbane. You will support the delivery of major EPCM projects, sourcing equipment, materials and services across Australia and internationally, and collaborate with engineering, project controls and contracts teams.

We are looking for a Senior Procurement Officers to join our growing team based in South Brisbane.

About the Role

This is an opportunity to become part of a high-performing project execution team supporting the delivery of major EPCM projects across Australia and internationally.

Working alongside experienced procurement, contracts, engineering and project delivery professionals, you'll play a key role in sourcing critical equipment, materials and services that keep some of the industry's most significant projects moving forward.

From major copper expansions in South Australia and gold processing developments in New South Wales through to critical minerals projects supporting the energy transition, you'll join a procurement team at the centre of some of Australia's most exciting EPCM project delivery work.

You'll be exposed to the full procurement lifecycle and contribute to both strategic sourcing and day-to-day project execution activities.

Activities include but are not limited to:

• Undertaking procurement planning and tendering activities, including preparation of compliant and competitive request packages, managing tender processes, supplier engagement, evaluations and recommendations.
• Supporting contract negotiations, contract formation and supplier onboarding activities.
• Developing and raising purchase orders and maintaining procurement records within SmartPlant Materials.
• Collaborating closely with engineering, project controls, construction and contracts teams to support project outcomes.
• Collating, reviewing and assuring procurement and contract documentation.
• Expediting equipment and materials to ensure project delivery schedules are achieved.
• Building and maintaining strong supplier and stakeholder relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
• Supporting procurement governance, compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

You’ll bring a proactive and solutions-focused approach and enjoy working in a fast-paced project environment where no two days are the same.

We’re looking for someone who has:

• Experience in a procurement role supporting engineering, EPCM, mining, resources, infrastructure or major projects environments.
• Understanding of project procurement processes, sourcing strategies and supplier management.
• Experience supporting tendering, purchasing, contract administration or expediting activities.
• Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to engage effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Knowledge of equipment, fabricated items, construction services, plant and materials procurement.
• High attention to detail with excellent record keeping and reporting capabilities.
• The ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining quality and responsiveness.
• A collaborative mindset and genuine desire to contribute to a positive team environment.
• A commitment to safety, integrity and continuous improvement.
