Ausgrid is seeking a commercially minded Management Accountant for the Plus Grid Storage business and its grid-scale battery energy storage projects. You will provide financial analysis, management reporting, cash flow forecasting and funding support across development, construction and operation of large-scale battery projects.

You will work with finance, commercial, procurement and project delivery teams to support planning, governance and decision-making.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or related discipline.
• CPA or CA qualification (or progress towards) highly regarded.
• Experience in management accounting, ideally within infrastructure, utilities, energy, construction or other capital-intensive industries.
• Strong experience preparing management accounts, budgets, forecasts and financial analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems such as SAP ECC6 and/or SAP S/4HANA.
• Strong analytical capability with attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
• Proactive, collaborative approach and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilités

• Monitor expenditure, commitments, accruals and forecasts across a portfolio of grid-scale battery projects.
• Support project funding requirements, governance processes and financial reporting through development, construction and operations.
• Partner with commercial, procurement and project delivery teams to provide financial insight on project performance and key decisions.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, reporting and financial performance commentary.
• Analyse variances, accruals, prepayments and project costs to provide insights.
• Develop and maintain short and medium-term cash flow forecasts.
• Support annual budgeting, forecasting and business planning processes.
• Develop and improve reporting tools, templates and financial controls.
• Contribute to management reporting packs, reconciliations and financial analysis for senior stakeholders.
