Job summary

Brisbane Catholic Education in Queensland seeks an Assistant Principal – Student Wellbeing for Emmaus College, Jimboomba (7–12). The role leads the College’s wellbeing, engagement and behaviour strategies within a Catholic learning community, ensuring a safe, high‑performing environment aligned to the school’s Vision, Mission and Values.

You will oversee College Wellbeing programs, coordinate curriculum alignment, support pastoral leaders, and partner with families, staff and BCE support

Qualifications

• Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.
• Current registration with Queensland College of Teachers (QCT).
• Catholic identity requirement for ecumenical schools.
• Experience as Assistant Principal or equivalent leadership in Catholic schools.
• Experience in teaching and leading religious education.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership in student wellbeing, behaviour and engagement.
• Lead the 7–12 College Wellbeing programs and align curriculum accordingly.
• Lead the implementation of the College Student Behaviour Support Plan across the College.
• Strengthen teacher effectiveness and embed proactive approaches to student engagement and learning.
• Collaborate with Support Teachers – Inclusive Education, Guidance Counsellors and BCE staff.
• Engage with parents and staff to support interventions and home–school collaboration.
• Contribute to College Leadership Team and model Catholic values.
