Job summary

Attorney Generals Department in Adelaide is seeking a Senior Manager, Justice Strategy and Funding to lead a high-performing team coordinating strategic funding and legal assistance programs. You will report to the Director, Justice Policy and Analytics and provide expert guidance to the Attorney-General on funding priorities and policy issues.

This term position (1-5 years) involves national partnerships, complex stakeholder engagement, and driving reforms in access to justice.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will be a collaborative and strategic leader with experience managing teams, funding programs or complex policy portfolios.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of South Australia’s legal assistance program under the National Access to Justice Partnership (NAJP).
• Manage funding agreements, procurement processes and grant programs for a sustainable legal assistance sector.
• Provide strategic policy advice to the Attorney-General and senior executives on legal assistance, funding and justice policy issues.
• Drive SA’s contribution to national legal assistance priorities and intergovernmental initiatives, including workforce, data and access-to-justice reforms.
• Build strong partnerships across government, the legal assistance sector and community stakeholders.
• Lead, mentor and develop a team while fostering a positive, inclusive and high-performing workplace culture.
