Queensland Government seeks a Head of Department – French-Australian Bilingual Program to lead curriculum design, delivery and evaluation across Tingalpa State School and Whites Hill State College. You will mentor staff, model best practice in bilingual teaching, and align initiatives with the schools’ Strategic Plans to raise student outcomes.

Qualifikationen

• Must have registration or eligibility for registration as a teacher in Queensland with the Queensland College of Teachers.
• Experience teaching French in a Primary and/or High School.
• Native French speaker and fluent English speaker.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence and work collaboratively with colleagues to maximise outcomes for students.
• CRPE holders preferred but not essential.

Aufgaben

• Manage elaboration, implementation and evaluation of the French-Australian Bilingual Program.
• Facilitate the implementation of the bilingual program strategies related to curriculum planning and delivery.
• Enhance high quality teaching and learning through professional guidance, modelling, mentoring and coaching of staff.
• Engage in explicit teaching in classrooms to support individual students and/or small groups.
• Develop and maintain structures for effective communication and consultation with staff, students, parents/carers and community groups.
