Job summary

Queensland Fire & Emergency Services is seeking a Technical Planning and Design Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team and deliver frontline communications capabilities across Queensland. You will shape technical planning, design roadmaps, and assurance for critical communications infrastructure used by responders.

The role reports to the Manager OCB and requires strategic thinking, governance, and collaboration with multiple stakeholder groups.

Qualifications

• Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team of frontline communications specialists.
• Coordinate complex communications systems integration initiatives.
• Analyse trends in communications technology and report findings.
• Develop state-wide planning and maintenance frameworks.

• Provide high-level technical assurance for frontline systems.
• Manage competing priorities and QA of documents.
• Foster staff development through performance planning and reviews.
