Job summary

DEWR in Canberra is seeking an Information Management Advisor at APS Level 6 to enhance information governance and asset lifecycle management. You will lead complex projects, analyse data across information systems, and provide specialist guidance to support compliance and decision-making.

Working with internal and external stakeholders, you will manage procurement and contract relations, monitor performance, and contribute to policy development to mature the department's information management

Responsibilities

• Leading and delivering complex information management projects, managing schedules, risks, dependencies and deliverables.
• Managing the lifecycle of physical and digital information assets, including appraisal, retention and disposal activities.
• Undertaking analysis of information management systems, data sources and business processes to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
• Preparing high-quality reports, briefs, submissions and analytical products to support governance and inform evidence-based decision‑making.
• Providing authoritative advice on information management and information governance obligations to support compliance and best practice outcomes.
• Building and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support information management services.
• Managing relationships with contracted service providers, including overseeing service delivery and procurement activities.
• Contributing to development and continuous improvement of information management frameworks, policies and governance arrangements.
