Job summary

Sigma Healthcare is seeking a Procurement Manager - Indirect to lead strategic sourcing and category management across indirect spend. You will drive supplier negotiations, governance improvements, and data-driven decisions while supporting procurement transformation across multiple sites.

You will partner with Finance, Legal, and IT to optimise processes, leverage SAP S/4HANA and SAP Ariba, and develop dashboards tracking savings and supplier performance. Hybrid work with a Preston-based office.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in strategic sourcing and category management across indirect spend.
• Bachelor's degree in business; MCIPS or equivalent is well regarded.
• Experience supporting procurement transformation and governance improvements in multi-site organisations.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills, including KPI dashboards in Excel/Power BI.
• Experience with ERP platforms such as SAP S/4HANA and SAP Ariba.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver sourcing and category strategies across indirect spend categories (e.g., Supply Chain, Facilities, Retail & Marketing, Corporate, Professional Services).
• Lead end-to-end RFx processes, supplier evaluations, negotiations, and contracting with Legal and stakeholders.
• Identify cost savings, supplier consolidation, and efficiencies while improving service and supply continuity.
• Drive value through demand management, cost optimization, and supplier rationalisation.
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, IT to influence sourcing decisions and present data-driven recommendations.
• Support policy, governance, and improved operating models across source-to-pay lifecycle.
• Contribute to procurement transformation, standardisation, and benefits realisation.
• Support procurement platforms optimisations and ensure data integrity.
• Develop dashboards and spend analytics to track savings, compliance, and supplier performance.
• Strengthen supplier governance and ESG considerations.
