Job summary

Indigitise, Canberra, is seeking an Senior ICT Project Manager to lead delivery of projects and manage infrastructure running costs and capital budgets. You will provide strategic advice to procurement, business and ICT teams on ICT hardware, software and services, overseeing investment priorities and infrastructure refresh programs.

Reporting to the National Manager, you will negotiate with vendors, develop strategies, and ensure commercial terms support the department's long-term objectives

Qualifications

• Experience in ICT cost analysis within the Public Sector.
• Experience in investment planning and policy in the Public Sector.
• Experience in establishing ICT cost management teams in the Public Sector.
• Experience in governance and control frameworks for ICT running costs.
• Experience in ICT cost transparency solutions in the Public Sector.
• Experience in producing Executive performance reporting with benefits realisation.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic sourcing, procurement and commercial advice for major IT projects.
• Advise vendor negotiations and develop negotiations strategies.
• Ensure commercial terms are in the department's best long-term interests.
• Conduct commercial risk assessments and manage identified risks.
• Develop comprehensive reports as required.
• Contribute to sourcing and procurement strategies and plans.
• Develop procurement documentation as required.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders as required.
• Assist in knowledge transfer and building APS capability.
• Lead and manage agency programs and report on performance.
