Australian Finance Group (AFG) is seeking an M&A / Corporate Development Analyst to join the Broker Investments team in Sydney. You’ll identify, evaluate, and execute partnership opportunities and manage direct investments in broking groups.

You’ll build financial models, run valuations, and support due diligence, portfolio reviews, and integration of acquired businesses. The role combines strategic growth with rigorous financial analysis.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Commerce, Business, Economics, Mathematics or Engineering; CA preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication with experience engaging Executives and Boards.
• Commercial experience and a collaborative approach; ability to think creatively and work independently.
• Experience in corporate finance, M&A or financial advisory; demonstrated financial and valuation modelling skills.

Responsabilités

• Support growth and strategic direction of AFG's Broker Investments team; provide insights to portfolio companies and ensure targets are met.
• Evaluate acquisitions, partnerships and joint ventures; build financial models and run valuations to inform decisions.
• Coordinate cross-functional due diligence, manage virtual data rooms, and interview businesses to understand objectives and strategies.
