Job summary

Bureau Veritas in Canberra is seeking an experienced financial management professional to strengthen financial performance across a complex government program. You will ensure compliance, provide reliable advice, and support decision-making in a fast-paced, high-performing team environment.

With qualifications in finance or accounting and experience in Defence-related financial management, you will lead budgeting, reporting and risk management while engaging stakeholders across the organization

Qualifications

Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or Business, or 5+ years’ Commonwealth financial management experience.
Defence financial management and reporting experience.
Strategic engagement and leadership experience.

Responsibilities

Manage financial activities in line with Commonwealth frameworks and policies.
Provide accurate, timely financial reporting and analysis.
Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
Advise stakeholders on financial risks, compliance and performance.
Contribute to continuous improvement and high-quality financial governance.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including Defence where required.
