Re.Group in North Sydney is seeking a senior Corporate Finance & Value Creation Associate to join the team, reporting to the Commercial Director, CFO and Executive Leadership. The role centers on value creation, corporate finance, refinancing and investment readiness, working across Commercial, Finance and Operations to build evidence-based investment stories.

• Prepare high-quality presentations and briefing materials for executives, the Board and advisers.
• Challenge assumptions and strengthen forecasts and investment cases.

About the opportunity

We’re looking for a Corporate Finance & Value Creation Associate to join our North Sydney team in a newly created role working closely with our Commercial Director, CFO, Executive Leadership Team, and Board.

This is a senior, hands-on role focused on value creation, corporate finance, refinancing and investment readiness.

Re.Group is entering an important phase of its development, with a strong focus on strengthening enterprise value, supporting future capital and investment processes and positioning the business for its next stage of growth.

You’ll work across Commercial, Finance and Operations teams to identify and quantify value creation opportunities, build the financial and commercial analysis behind them, and help develop the evidence-based investment story that supports Re.Group’s future.

About the role

You will:

Identify, assess and quantify opportunities to increase enterprise value.

Build and maintain a value creation program, including baselines, milestones, investment requirements and expected financial impacts.

Maintain financial models and analysis supporting strategic planning, refinancing, investment decisions and transaction readiness.

Analyse earnings quality, cash conversion, recurring and contracted revenues, growth opportunities and capital efficiency.

Support debt refinancing activities, including forecasts, covenant modelling, downside scenarios and lender materials.

Help prepare the business for future investor and transaction processes, including due diligence and information readiness.

Develop clear analysis explaining historical performance, current earnings, forecast growth, risks and strategic opportunities.

Prepare high-quality presentations and briefing materials for executives, the Board, shareholders and external advisers.

Challenge assumptions, identify information gaps and help strengthen the evidence behind forecasts and investment cases.

About you

You may currently be working in:

Investment banking

Big 4 deals, transaction services or corporate finance

Private equity or infrastructure investments

Corporate development, corporate finance or value creation within an operating business

You’ll ideally bring around 4–8 years’ relevant experience, together with strong financial modelling, valuation and analytical capability. Exposure to transactions, vendor due diligence, refinancing, capital raising or other major corporate finance processes will be highly regarded.

Just as importantly, you’ll be commercially minded and comfortable operating beyond the spreadsheet. You’ll be able to work directly with senior leaders and operational teams, understand what is driving business performance and translate complex analysis into clear commercial conclusions.

Experience in a private equity-backed, infrastructure, environmental services, recycling, logistics or other asset-intensive business would be advantageous.
