Job summary

Sharp & Carter, on behalf of a rapidly growing ASX-listed client in the project delivery and construction sector, invites applications for a Finance Business Partnering Manager. This national leadership role is based in Sydney CBD with hybrid flexibility and leads a team of five to six partners.

You will coach, set expectations, partner with Production and Commercial leaders, oversee WIP, forecasting, cash flow, and drive continuous improvement of the finance partnering function.

Qualifications

• CA or CPA qualification required.
• Proven experience leading, coaching and developing finance professionals.
• Strong finance business partnering / commercial finance experience.
• Background within construction, engineering, infrastructure or another project-based environment.
• Strong understanding of project financials, WIP, forecasting, cost reporting, cash flow and working capital.
• Strong commercial and stakeholder management skills.
• High level of competency with ERP systems.
• Ability to operate comfortably at both a strategic and operational level.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a national team of Finance Business Partners (5–6).
• Partner with senior Production and Commercial leaders across the business.
• Oversee project financial performance, WIP, forecasting and cost reporting.
• Provide oversight of cash flow, claims, debtors, client security and working capital.
• Act as senior escalation point for complex financial and commercial matters.
• Drive consistency and continuous improvement across the finance partnering function.
• Develop capability and ensure effective use of the ERP system across the team.
• Support broader finance, systems and process improvement initiatives.
