Job summary

Civic Disability Services Limited is seeking a proactive Finance Business Partner to join our Finance Team in NSW. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role partners with operational leaders to deliver financial insights and support strategic decision-making.

You will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, monthly management reporting, variance analysis, and financial modelling to improve efficiency and sustainability. Strong Excel and Power BI skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance is required.
• CA or CPA qualification completed or nearing completion is required.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in management accounting, commercial finance, business partnering or financial analysis roles.
• Demonstrated experience preparing budgets, forecasts, management reports and financial analysis.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to translate financial information into meaningful business insights.
• Proven ability to build effective relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with financial reporting and business intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI).

Responsibilities

• Partner with operational and corporate leaders to provide financial guidance and support informed decision-making.
• Prepare monthly management reports, variance analysis and performance commentary.
• Coordinate budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning processes.
• Analyse financial and operational performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, sustainability and outcomes.
• Prepare business cases, financial models and investment appraisals to support strategic initiatives.
• Monitor key financial and operational metrics and provide actionable recommendations.
• Support managers to understand financial performance, risks and opportunities within their areas of responsibility.
• Assist with month-end and year-end reporting requirements.
• Support audit processes and compliance reporting obligations.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports and financial tools that improve business insight and decision‑making.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across finance systems, processes and reporting.
• Provide support across the broader finance function as required.
